Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Indeed, in nature we can see much clear evidence of God's faithfulness. But not only in nature. If I look back on the last few years of my life, I can also see evidence of God's faithfulness. Throughout the whole process of our moving to China, living there for seven years, returning to the United States and readjusting to life here, the Lord has been faithful in providing for us, even in the midst of challenges. This has been the experience of believers throughout the ages. It is no wonder then that one of the attributes of God that is often referred to in the Psalms (which I have been reading through for the past few months in my daily devotions), is the faithfulness of the Lord to His people (look at a concordance and see how often the word appears in the Psalms). How good it would be if each day we would "[proclaim] your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night" (Psalm 92:2)!
