With Joyful Hearts, Now Let Us Sing
With joyful hearts, now let us sing,
For on this day was born our King,
Who left the holy realm above
That He might be Incarnate Love.
For us He veiled His Deity
That we on earth our God might see,
And freely chose the Virgin's womb,
Which sheltered Him within its gloom.
For us He chose a bed of hay
On which His infant head to lay;
A manger He did not disdain,
Who once on Heaven’s throne did reign.
He came in love and lowliness
That He might all the nations bless,
And deigned to share in all our woe
That He on us might grace bestow.
All praise and glory be to Him,
Who ever rules the cherubim!
And may we all be swift to tell
Of Him, our Lord Immanuel!
May you have a truly merry Christmas!
