In past years, I have frequently marked the occasion of Easter by posting poems relating to the topic of the Resurrection by such literary giants as Shakespeare and Donne. This year, however, I thought I would do something a little different--offer a poem of my own to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is rather brief, but I hope my readers find it appropriate nonetheless:
O Prideful Death
O prideful Death, where is thy sting?
And where thy triumph now, O Grave?
For risen is our gracious King,
And mighty is His arm to save!
A happy Easter to all!
